Light of Love
Light of Love is a non-profit organization driven by the love of Jesus Christ. Each year, Chicago hosts Exxxotica, the largest convention in the sex industry, at the Rosemont Convention Center. Through their 'Jesus Loves Sex Workers' initiative, Light of Love connects with individuals in the industry, meeting them where they are. They open conversations about God, extend the love of Jesus, and offer support, including exit plans for those who wish to leave the industry.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
LUNCH
Saturday April 12, 2025
We need 5-10 people to prepare lunch for 30 women and 2-3 people to deliver the food, pray over the building, and the convention.
SET-UP & PRAYER WALK
Thursday April 10, 2025 | 2-5pm
3-5 people to set up the Light of Love booth in the Exxotica Expo Hall and walk the space in prayer.
PRAY WHERE YOU ARE
Additionally, there may be a group protesting and doing street evangelism, so we’d love ongoing prayer coverage from the Awaken community throughout the weekend.
GET INVOLVED
As a ministry team that has been impacted by the sex industry, whether it be our own personal testimony or the testimony of others, we are moved by the realities that exist in our city to bring support and connection. As a team we share the same motivation and that is to bring the love of Christ to those individuals that are still in this life without shame and without judgement.
